Restoring the meaning.

Memorial Day is a time to honor the courageous men and women who sacrificed their lives for our nation.  Gradually, sales, vacations, and other traditions that are meant to celebrate that sacrifice have taken center stage. It's time to reclaim the spirit of Memorial Day and give our fallen heroes the recognition they deserve.

Be the change with Memorial Day on Main.

As stewards of our community, we have the power to make a difference. That's where the WVCC Memorial Day on Main comes in. Businesses can be forces for good, we're leading the charge to reclaim meaning of Memorial Day. By participating in this initiative, you'll become a beacon of honor and remembrance, guiding others to recognize the sacrifices of our fallen heroes.

How It Works.

Throughout the entire month of May, in conjunction with Military Appreciation Month, local businesses will join forces for Memorial Day on Main. Each participating business will receive a Memorial Day on Main Business Kit which includes a poster symbolizing their support, a donation of enough Hero Cards for a local classroom which includes the business's logo in the pack, and a sponsor listing on the Memorial Day on Main webpage. By proudly displaying these materials, businesses will not only honor our fallen heroes but also inspire others to do the same.
